FISH WHISPERERS invade the Top End Fishing Festival  The Fish Whisperers are 2 blokes and one chick that capture all the fun things about fishing, regardless of whether they capture any fish. Dave, the fisherman’s fisherman, Wazza, the fishing disaster and Kel, the camera chick take a very different look at fishing in their weekly internet show aptly named, The Fish Whisperers. If you cross Russell Coit with the Blair Witch Project and mix in a little bit of Top Gear, then you get a rough picture of a Fish Whisperers Show. Even when there’s not a feast of fish, there’s a solid helping of wit, frivolity and general wrongness. Catch the Fish Whisperers live at the Top End Fishing Festival and subscribe to the FREE video podcast at www.fishwhisperers.net

RICK TRIPPE is the keenest spear fisherman in Australia. You’ve probably read about his spear fishing tales in the NT Fishing and Outdoors magazine. Each year hundreds crocodiles are caught and removed from Darwin Harbor, so swimming and diving let alone spear fishing is quiet hazardous. Come, listen and ask Rick about his amazing experiences and learn more about this fascinating sport.

DARWIN FLY RODDERS will be conducting fly casting demonstrations during the festival along with fly tying. Members of the club will also be on hand to answer any questions in relation to fly fishing, especially fly fishing up here in the Top End. There will be a fun fly casting competition for the kids too. So if you have ever wondered about this type of fishing come over to the Darwin Flyrodders exhibit and have a chat. They may just be able to change your mind from fishing the "dark side' (lure fishing) to this fabulous sport call fly fishing.
